Every Book Series I've Finished!
Hey hi hello friends, and welcome back to my blog!
In September I posted "Every Series I Haven't Finished" and I really enjoyed going through my Goodreads (and my memories) to come up with the list. So today I thought I would share all the series that I have finished. No surprise, the list is much shorter than the previous one. There might also be some overlap as I've finished a few series since that post two months ago.
As I did for the first post, I won't be giving a summary of these book series, just a quick sentence or two on whether or not I enjoyed them. Some are from years and years ago, and some I just finished last week, so there will be a large variety of genres, age ranges, and enjoyment level. Of course, you have to assume I liked these books at least enough to finish out the series, as I demonstrated with the last post that I have no qualms about not finishing a series if I don't like the first book.
I will be dividing these series up by age range, so middle grade, then YA, and finally adult book series.
Okay, let's get into it!
---
Middle-grade
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
The Kane Chronicles
The Heroes of Olympus
Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard
The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan: Obviously all of these are by Rick Riordan, and I loved every single book in every series. I think The Kane Chronicles is my favorite series, but it bounces between them as I reread them.
Inkworld by Cornelia Funke: This is an old childhood favorite that I inherited from my sister. I have been meaning to do a reread of the series soon, maybe next year.
Harry Potter by JKR: Okay, I acknowledged it, I won't talk about it again.
Fablehaven by Brandon Mull: This is the first book series that I really really obsessed over. I went to all of Brandon Mull's book signings at Borders (that should tell you how old this series is) and all of my books are signed and personalized.
The Grey Griffins Trilogy by Derek Benz and J.S. Lewis: A childhood favorite that I liked mostly because it was set in Minnesota and you don't see that too often.
The Sight by David Clement-Davies: I first read this series in middle school, and I really enjoyed it, though a lot of what was written went over my head at the time.
Black Hollow Lane by Julie Nobel: I recently read this series, either last month or the month before that, and I enjoyed it. It's really a classic middle-grade mystery with a lot of the tropes you would expect, but it was a fun time.
Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson: Another nostalgic read, though I thought the quality of the books dropped off after the fourth one. I despised the final book, which was upsetting.
The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis: I'm pretty sure everyone knows this series, so do I really need to talk about it? I recently reread it for the first time since I was a child and I still really enjoyed it.
YA
The Maze Runner by James Dashner: Honestly I only remember the first two books of the series, the other two are just blurs to me. I like the movies more.
Blue is For Nightmares by Laurie Faria Stolarz: This is such a cheesy series that definitely doesn't hold up nowadays, but it's a fun trashy time if you're looking for that.
House of Night by P.C Cast and Kristin Cast: Another trashy YA series that is fun but if you're looking for good writing and structured plot, run the other way.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins: One of the only 2010 era series that I think still holds up to this day! A classic dystopia but still can be relevant, and wonderful writing.
The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer: Again, I acknowledged it, and I'm not going to keep talking about it.
Divergent by Veronica Roth: I really only remember the first book, even though I know I read the entire series. But I don't ever see myself rereading this series.
Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi: A very good graphic novel series! It's a true story, too, and I really enjoyed it.
The Dark Vault by Victoria Schwab: A favorite of mine, and the series by her I've reread the most.
The Monsters of Verity Duology by Victoria Schwab: My favorite series by Victoria Schwab!
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater: Probably my favorite fantasy series of all time, I've read it so many times and each time I find something new to love about it.
Charlotte Holmes by Brittany Cavallaro: This was one of my favorite series of 2018! I loved the relationship between the main characters, they felt very real and flawed.
The Lara Jean Trilogy by Jenny Han: I only read this once, and completely binged it in preparation for the first movie to come out, so honestly I don't remember it a whole lot.
Anna K by Jenny Lee: Totally ridiculous but also deep and meaningful, I don't know how the author does it.
Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa: A new favorite series! I can't believe it took me until this year to read this series, but I did and it's amazing. If you're a fan of fantasy anime, I highly recommend checking this series out.
The Storm Crow Duology by Kalyn Jospehson: I really liked the portrayal of depression in this book series, and thought the fantasy worldbuilding was very well done.
Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor: A favorite series of mine! I've reread it at least three times, I just love the romance between the main characters, and I'm a sucker for chimera as well.
The Devouring Gray Duology by Christine Lynn Herman: I loved all the queer rep in this story, it was very validating to me to see a bunch of disaster bisexuals trying to live their lives.
The Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater: A more classic YA romance, but still a fun time.
Permafrost by Kara Barbieri: I loved all the lore and mythology in this series, it's my heritage so I felt a deeper connection to the story than I would have otherwise.
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson: One of the only mystery series I've read, and I really enjoyed it! It's not quite my genre but I liked the main character.
These Witches Don't Burn by Isabel Sterling: I totally planned on hate-reading this series but I ended up really enjoying it! It's ridiculous but overall a fun time.
The Kyoshi Novels by F.C. Yee: Ahhh, love more Avatar content! And canon bi Kyoshi, we love to see it honestly. I need to reread these books soon.
Darius the Great by Adib Khorram: Another great representation of depression, I loved Darius as a character and also loved all the descriptions of food!
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh: Another older YA favorite, I've since unhauled the books but I did enjoy them for what they were when I first read them.
Adult
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien: Of course, a classic. I don't know if I've ever fully read the books all in a row, but I do know I've read the entire series multiple times over.
Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab: This was the first Schwab series I ever read and I'm so glad I found her through this series!
The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden: I only just finished this series this year, and I'm mad that it took me so long to read! Definitely a favorite.
Mistborn Era One by Brandon Sanderson: A beloved series by pretty much everyone, including myself.
Women Are Some Kind of Magic by Amanda Lovelace: I think this is my favorite poetry collection of hers, and I've read every single poetry book that she's come out with.
Their Bright Ascendency by K. Arsenault Rivera: Another series I didn't read until this year, but oh my goodness is it amazing!! I love that it's centered around two married women, it makes my heart happy.
The Daevabad Trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty: Ahh, this series really took the internet by storm, as it should have, because it's amazing.
Women of Troy by Pat Barker: I really enjoyed the author's take on the Trojan War and the women who were affected by it, especially since the original texts tend to only focus on the men.
Things That H(a)unt by Amanda Lovelace: I really enjoyed this collection, it focused more on Amanda herself and not just women in general, which I appreciated.
The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang: I only finished this series this month, and I'm still reeling from it. I don't think I'll ever read it again but it was so good.
The Dragonslayer Trilogy by Duncan M. Hamilton: I finished the last book in this series only yesterday! A great high fantasy series, a little hard to get into at first but I flew through the last book.

Alright, those are all of the book series that I have completed! Once again, I never want to hyperlink so much ever again. Have you finished more or less series than me? Is there any overlap in our lists? Comment below or tweet at me @AllyEmReads.
Until next time!
