Books I've Reread the Most!
Hey hi hello friends, and welcome back to my blog!
Lately I've kind of been in a slump, and typically the best way for me to get out of that slumpy feeling is to pick up a favorite reread. I love rereading books, especially ones I really love, because I almost always find something new that I hadn't picked up on before. So I thought today I'd give you a list of books that I've reread the most, and why they're my go-to books to reread.
I figure we'll go in order of how many times I've reread the books listed, so sit back, grab a snack, and let's talk books!
---
1. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho - reread (at least) 8 times
I feel like this comes as no surprise, to anyone really. The Alchemist is my favorite book of all time. I had to read it for a college course, which is how I was introduced to it, and I probably read it like five times in that one semester, I was so enchanted by it. Goodreads only has it down for two reads, but that's because I first read it before I had a Goodreads.
2. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan - reread 5 times
Honestly, I've probably read the original series more times than that, but I'm really talking about the Riordanverse as a whole. The only books I haven't reread in that universe are the Magnus Chase books, and I'm not sure why. But I am hoping to read the entire universe again this year, so they will finally be reread.
3. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston - reread 3 times
Even though this book came out only two years ago, I've read it four times. Four! That's because this book is happiness bound in pages, in my opinion. I like to reread this book when I'm feeling especially sad, and just need a good pick-me-up.
4. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller - reread 3 times
This is kind of the opposite of Red, White & Royal Blue, I like to reread this book when I'm in need of a good cry. It's an easy book to pull at my heartstrings, and I still manage to cry every time I read it, even though I practically know it by heart at this point.
5. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater - reread 2 times
Once again, I feel like this is a no brainer. The Raven Cycle is my favorite series of all time, and I will love it until the day I die, possibly even past that. I honestly thought I had reread it more than twice, but 3 times overall does sound about right. It's just so easy to come back to, you know? Like coming home.
6. The Dark Vault (The Archived and The Unbound) by Victoria Schwab - reread 2 times
I've reread many of Victoria/V.E. Schwab's books, but this is the one I've reread the most. Not even including when I read the two books of the series separately, so really I've reread this series 3 times. I'm not sure why this is the one I've reread the most, because I don't consider this my favorite of her work (that would go to the Monsters of Verity duology) but I definitely don't regret any of the rereads.
7. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor - reread 2 times
Another series, but I've actually read the first book more than I've read the other two. Only once more, but still. Definitely a favorite of mine, and one I'll no doubt return to again.
8. Radio Silence by Alice Oseman - reread 2 times
This is a weird book, because I always think that it's just okay, and then I reread it, and I'm like "Wow, this is the best book ever written, why haven't I given it as much love?" And then I forget and think it's just fine again. I don't understand how my brain works, sometimes. But I do know that every time I reread this book, I fall more and more in love with it.
9. The Martian by Andy Weir - reread 2 times
It's inevitable that I will reread this book when I get into a sciencey mood again. Every few months or so, I get the sudden urge to watch space documentaries, read nonfiction about it, etc. That's when my urge to reread The Martian comes into play. It satisfies my need for space stuff and I'm able to enjoy it to the fullest extent.
10. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - reread 2 times
This is probably the oddest book on this list, because I've never actually given it five stars. I don't think it's a perfect book, far from it actually, and yet I keep coming back to it. That is because I see myself most in Cath, the main character of the novel. I've talked about it a ton, but I feel as though Cath is me in every sense of the world, except being a fictional character. Or, at least, me from my college freshman days. Therefore I like to go back to this book when I'm feeling nostalgic.

Alright, there are ten books that I've reread multiple times! What books have you reread, if any? Have you read any books more than I've read The Alchemist? Let me know in the comments or tweet at me @AllyEmReads.
Until next time!
