Anything But Books | Tag
Hey hi hello friends, and welcome back to my blog!
So I was planning on doing a post about my favorite fictional couples in honor of Valentine's Day coming up...but honestly I don't feel like it, so you're getting a tag instead! This time I decided to do the Anything But Books Tag created by ReaderRot, who no longer seems to be on BookTube. I've actually done this tag before but that was on my own BookTube channel, years ago, which has since been deleted.
So grab a drink or a snack and settle in for the questions!
---
1. Name a cartoon(s) that you love.
I talked about both of these in my "Favorite TV Shows" post, but Avatar: The Last Airbender and Miraculous Ladybug: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir are both two cartoons that I can and will watch over and over again, and are probably the only two cartoons I'll ever talk about.
2. What is your favorite song right now?
I hardly ever hyper-fixate on a single song, usually it's an album or playlist, but right now the song that is stuck in my head is "Till Forever Falls Apart" by Ashe and FINNEAS. It's sad and beautiful and honestly my perfect V-Day song.
3. What could you do for hours (that isn't reading)?
Play video games! This is definitely a more recent development, but I've been playing Minecraft a lot with my friends, and our world is ridiculous. I can without a doubt play Minecraft for hours and not even realize it.
4. What is something you love to do that your readers would be surprised by?
I think I used this as my answer last time, but I actually love archery! I have a compound bow and I like to drive to the shooting range by my house when it's not 100 degrees outside, so really only in the winter. Unfortunately my sight pin has been broken for a while and I haven't had the chance to take my bow in to get it fixed, so I haven't been able to shoot for a hot minute. I'm hoping this year I can finally get to that so I can start back up again!
5. What is your favorite oddly specific thing to learn about?
Historical serial killers. I guess not just serial killers, but like, tragic events, weird murders, stuff like that. It started with the Lore podcast (which is fantastic, by the way, highly recommend!) and that really reignited my love for the occult and all things weird, but it definitely tuned that obsession to the more death-related side, where before it was more witchcraft and stuff like that. Now I'll read, watch, or listen to almost anything on the topic. The farther back in time, the better.
6. What is something unusual that you know how to do?
I can lick my elbow.
No, seriously.
7. Name something you've made in the last year that you're proud of.
Did I even do anything worth being proud of last year? Honestly I don't think so.
I guess I'll go with my bookshelves - they're not custom made or anything, just shelves from Target, but I built each one myself and I'm super happy with how they look in my room.
8. What is your most recent personal project?
Training Mochi to be my service dog! We've been at it for about six months now, though we've had to take a break the past couple months due to illness and lack of funds (check out my GoFundMe page for her training classes if you're interested in helping us out!). I'm hoping I can get her fully certified as a service animal within the next two years.
9. Tell us something you think about often (maybe while staring out the window)
Most of the time I'm trying to figure out what Mochi is thinking about when she's staring out the window - which she does. A lot. She has figured out how to move my curtains out of the way so she can look outside even with them closed (my window faces the street, so they're closed a lot for privacy reasons).
10. Name an oddly specific favorite of yours.
Ummmm...Oregon Chai chai latte mix. It's the only chai tea I'll drink.

Okay, that's all for this tag! Pretty random questions, but I had fun answering them! I want to know, what is your favorite song at the moment? Let me know in the comments or tweet at me @AllyEmReads.
Until next time!
